Beryl and her late husband Basil began the guesthouse business in 1970. As milk farmers at that time they both said the B&B would be some jam for their bread and butter. As it became increasingly more difficult to make ends meet in farming they were both able to laugh and say the tables had turned. The guesthouse became their bread and butter. The passion and devotion both shared as hosts for the guesthouse was clearly recognised as people still to this day return year after year.

Beryl’s daughter Amanda was a professional musician on the road for many years and when her timely decision was made in 2001 to come home, it seemed perfect that she would eventually take over the business.

 Retreats/Workshops/Seminars/Residential Courses

It has been my dream for years to run the Morfa Isaf as a retreat. When I came home in 2001 after 20 years on the road as a professional musician, I realised my dream could become a reality. I have the ideal situation, privacy, seclusion, beautiful peaceful surroundings and places to accommodate people. A load of dosh & some outside interest from people was all I needed…oh yeah and a huge dollop of Faith that it would happen, got to remember that bit! When I look back at what my mother has achieved here turning a run down old farmhouse into what it is today, I know anything is possible.

I’m hoping to put a yurt here soon, as a workshop space, but I am sure there will be guests who would like to stay in it too!. It goes without saying; anyone thinking of holding residential courses or retreats is welcome to contact me.

Amanda Painting 

Amanda has been involved in the mind body spirit movement for around 15 years now. During that time  studied Metaphysics for 5 years, Esoterics and Quantum Healing studying Ayurveda - Reiki 1 & 2 seemed a natural progression, followed by  Omni 1 & 2 modules.

During the 10 years since Amanda's homecoming she has been on many dozens of different courses on meditation and healing and every single one has given her something to work with in her own life.      Her pride and joy in all of this work has to be the Mind Body & Spirit Radio Show,  which Amanda hosted for 3 years until recently when Radio Ceredigion was sold. 

I cannot believe the wealth of authors, pioneers and visionaries from all over the world who I interviewed on a weekly basis!
